This set had only one owner and is in good condition overall. This set could be easily refinished to highlight it's hidden beauty. Very well made - high quality pieces are an integral part of our Canadian manufacturing history.
Hartman Krug first came to Canada in 1848, roughly 30 years before he built and established the now famous H. Krug company and it's reputation as manufacturers of fine furniture.
An expert carpenter and cabinet maker he came to Berlin now called Kitchener, ON in the late 1870s. He established his career as a furniture manufacturer who was dedicated to quality and became a leader in its field.
