Urregui horse head statue, this exceptional piece is made from solid bronze and mounted on a marble base. The bronze finish is polished and then it is given an oxidized bath to obtain different colors.
These statues are reproductions of contemporary artists are limited to world editions of 300 for each model (not numbered). Every statue is signed by the artisan. This statue stands approx 24" tall and is 10" in depth.
It was originally used as a piece of lobby art for a premiere retirement residence in Ottawa and was removed during a renovation. There is some slight damage on the back of the marble base and slight damage on the back of the statue itself. Otherwise it is a lovely piece.
